Virus Name: SARS-CoV-2     Database ID: VRS_001

Virus Description:

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the strain of coronavirus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a respiratory illness. Colloquially known as simply the coronavirus, it was previously referred to by its provisional name, 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), and has also been called human coronavirus 2019 (HCoV-19 or hCoV-19). As described by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, it is the successor to SARS-CoV-1. SARS-CoV-2 is a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus. It is contagious in humans. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020.

SARS-CoV-2 A library of 15 amino acid peptides of COVID-19 proteome (9 amino acids overlap) were synthesized by Mimotopes. Every 90 peptides were pooled to one sample. Each sample was digested separately by trypsin, chymotrypsin, elastase, pepsin or undigested. Peptide containing samples were analyzed by LC-MS/MS (TripleTOF® 6600). MS data were analyzed by PEAKS studio. Faridi P.

SARS-CoV-2 A library of synthetic peptides was analysed on TimsTOF Pro. The library was synthesised to validate the naturally presented peptides by the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) in B Lymphoblastoid Cell lines (BLCL). Human BLCL 9004 and BLCL 9087 were either transfected with selected SARS-CoV-2 genes (N, E, nsp9) or alternatively SARS-CoV-2 proteins were directly delivered into the cells via electroporation (nsp1, nsp4, nsp5, nsp9, N). The MHC class I and class II immunopeptidome were eluted and a selection of SARS-CoV-2-derived peptides was chosen for synthesis. Braun A.
